Agriturismo La Rombaia
La Rombaia takes its name from the Rombai family, true pioneers of these lands, who built the first farm here at the end of the 18th century. Around 1820 there was a hunting hut near the Rombaia where boar hunts were organized. The boar with the spiked helmet of the Prussian soldiers who is still the symbol of the Rombaia today was born from a drawing traced on a sheet by a guest in 1820, during the banquet after a hunt for a particularly agile and warlike boar. This design was reproduced on a wooden sign that for many years rocked on the door of the hunting lodge of the Rombaia. From here, the quiet of the orchards and fields; beyond, the relaxation of the swimming pool; all around, the beauty of the Tuscan Maremma. La Rombaia grows olive trees, fruit trees, vegetables and cereals: all flavors that you can taste at your table. The rooms and apartments are carefully furnished in the authentic Tuscan style; their names are enough to make a journey through the ancient peasant civilization: the Cellar, the Oil Mill, the Dryer, the Master Carrier, the Mill, the Saddlery, the Barn, the Dovecote, the Spinning Mill
