Agriturismo Pian di Barca

Immersed in the bright yellow of sunflowers or in the intense gold of the wheat, lapped by the Roman cobblestones of the Ancient Aurelia Road and with the mountains of the Maremma Natural Park on the horizon, you will find our Pian di Barca farmhouse.
In the old farmhouse born in the 1800s, embraced by the Ombrone river, where there were cellars, leather dryers, barns and the houses of the peasants who worked for the owners, today apartments and rooms have been created, renovated by us keeping the memory original in recovered materials and in those chosen with care.
Pian di Barca owes its name to its strategic position, it was right at the bottom of Ancient Aurelia that once a boat, later decommissioned, ferried wayfarers and animals from one bank of the Ombrone river to another. After half a century we return to being the closest company to the new bridge that will once again reach Marina di Alberese and the Maremma Natural Park in a few minutes crossing!
We have also sought love and respect for our land in the olive grove that for some years we have wanted in Pian di Barca as in the past; this gave us a little jewel, Cifèro, our extra virgin olive oil, produced with olives of endangered varieties, a delicate oil with an ancient flavor.

The farm offers you hospitality in 4 apartments in typical Tuscan style and 2 large rooms inside the main farmhouse.

The restaurant offers refined dishes that rework the traditional Maremma cuisine, using raw materials produced by the company or at km0 and carefully selected. A wide choice of vegetarian dishes is always available.
The welcome in our farmhouse fully reflects the love and respect for animals, that’s why your 4-legged friends are welcome.

Pian di Barca is an accommodation recommended by the Maremma Natural Park and a selected structure of the Legambiente Turismo circuit for sustainability and good practices.
