Agriturismo Borgi De’ Salaioli
The Borgo de ’Salaioli farmhouse is located on the ancient salt road which, through the Maremma hills, leads from Scansano (6 km) to the Argentario sea (22 km). Scansano is located a few kilometers from the city of Grosseto (35), the spas of Saturnia (17), the Etruscan excavations of Sovana (35) and Roselle (35). Around vineyards and ancient olive groves, Etruscan and Roman ruins, medieval villages perched on the hills. The farmhouse consists of several recently renovated stone farmhouses, built in the nineteenth century to make up a small village, currently composed of four large rooms with three or four beds, each in independent buildings, an apartment, a kitchen available to the rooms, a large garden with a covered pergola with barbecue, as well as the owner’s home. Borgo de ‘Salaioli was born in 1980 from the dream of Arrigo and Furica (and then also of our son Giacomo) to start a life together, escaping the fast pace of the city and trying to create a structure in balance with the surrounding nature, respecting of Tuscan culture and architectural traditions. In 1996 the farm was born not only as a means to enhance the existing and no longer used real estate assets, but also to share the Tuscan and Maremma culture and lifestyle with other people, which cannot be appreciated with a modern vacation hit and run, but take a slower time. The climate is always mitigated by the proximity of the sea, it is distinguished by cool and windy summers and mild winters with moderate rainfall and makes the land incredibly suitable for the cultivation of the vine and for the production of the famous red Morellino di Scansano wine.
